The Kalush Orchestra triumphed in traditional dress. Mahmood and Blanco, in Prada and Valentino respectively, won the style challenge. Great names also for the hosts: Donatella Versace thought of Laura Pausini while Mika once again entrusted himself to Valentino and Alessandro Cattelan to Giorgio Armani
The victory of the Eurovision Song Contest went to a traditional costume. The Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania triumphed for Ukraine and for its performance the band chose to wear clothes that come from their region of origin, Bukovyna. Notably, band leader Oleh Psyuk 's waistcoat was embroidered with beads, and the shirt was a modern interpretation of what is known as a vyshyvanka . The handkerchief that hung from the belt, however, is a traditional accessory, shown off by men and women alike. Unmistakable by now, the pink bucket hat that completed the outfit deeply rooted in the war-torn homeland.
As we know, Eurovision is not the Sanremo Festival and each number is specifically designed to be perfect for each performance. So the only new clothes we saw on stage were those of the so-called Big 5 , the countries that have direct access to the final. So here are our Mahmood and Blanco who, may not have been among the artists on the podium, but brought two of the biggest names in Italian fashion known internationally to the stage of the Pala Olimpico in Turin.
Mahmood chose a dark Prada suit while Blanco continued his adventure with a Valentino Haute Couture look from the Anatomy of Couture collection. The sexy bullfighter's suit by the Spanish Chanel , the real surprise of the evening, was designed by Alejandro Gómez Palomo of the Palomo Spain brand.
Sam Ryder , representing the United Kingdom, opted for a black spacesuit with white decorations to perform the song Space Man . The French Alvan & Ahez had black dresses with gold embroidery while the German Malik Harris focused everything on the simplicity of a t-shirt.
Even for the final the hosts brought high fashion to the stage. Laura Pausini was dressed by Donatella Versace who created three colorful outfits for the artist created by the excellence of Atelier Versace .
Pierpaolo Piccioli , creative director of Valentino , also thought of Mika for the last evening. Among the suits, a Pink PP one could not be missing. Alessandro Cattelan wore a total look by Giorgio Armani , dark but covered in stars.
